What My Gear shows
My Gear lists everything that has been issued to you personally — both serialised assets you keep on hand and consumables you draw from. It is your personal slice of stock; it does not show what is on your team or in any warehouse.
Open it from My Stuff → My Gear in the left menu (briefcase icon).
The two tabs
Assets
Long-life items that stay with you — laptops, tools, meters, instruments. Each card shows:
- A product image (when configured)
- The product code and description
- A Type badge with the reference category (e.g.
LAPTOP,TOOL) - The quantity currently in your name
Consumables
Items that get used up — cable, screws, lubricant, single-use spares. Same card layout as Assets.
Searching
A search field sits at the top of each tab. Start typing and the list filters as you type — it matches against product code and description. Click the trash icon next to the search field to clear the filter and bring the full list back.
What you can do with each item
Each card has a small actions menu (three-dot button on the bottom right of the card). Today the action available there is Mark as Consumed — used when you've finished a consumable so the system can reconcile your personal stock.
If a card shows the wrong quantity or you don't see something that was issued to you, contact your stock controller — gear is moved into your name from the warehouse, not added directly here.
Where the items come from
Gear arrives in your personal stock when:
- A stock controller transfers it to you from a warehouse
- A work order issues parts against your name
- A previous holder hands it on to you
My Gear is read-only for those movements — the workflow that puts items there lives in the inventory and work-order screens.
